PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

St. John is a growing congregation but yet still desires to remain, “The Church at the Caring End of Ministry.”  As Pastor, I cannot be as attentive as I would like to be and as I have been in previous years.  Because of the many pressing issues that need my attention it is imperative that our marvelous clergy and office staff as well as the officers assist in the following areas:

  • Counseling – The Rev. Brenda Jackson.
  • Sick and Hospitalized – Call your Pastor, The Rev. Jesse Hawkins. I always see parishioners who are hospitalized.
  • Death – Call your pastor.
  • Meeting Space Requests – Linda Hawkinson, Receptionist, Rev. Cowan, or download a copy of the Meeting Room Request form from the webpage.
  • Weddings – Call your Pastor.
  • Sick and Shut-In; Need Communion – The Rev. Melvin Mosley and your Ambassador.
  • Building Concerns – Contact one of the Trustees.
  • Bus Ministry – See John Johnson, Bruce Bennett or Ron Jefferson.
  • Other needs, spiritual or other crises – Ambassador or Steward

Thank you for your cooperation, and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give me a call. All of these protocol procedures will soon be published in our Membership and Policy Handbook.

WELCOME

WE WELCOME TO OUR WORSHIP ON TODAY THE HONORABLE KAREN FREEMAN WILSON, former States Attorney of Indiana and Mayor Elect of Gary, Indiana.  We pray that our souls might be enriched and our spirits encouraged.  We also take this opportunity to welcome others who are visiting with us on today.
