We are excited about Children's ministry at St. John and believe that they have a prominent and significant place in our church community. Therefore, to that end, the Children's Ministry team is committed to developing and nurturing the spirituality of our children from infancy to 12 years of age. We will engage our children in activities that stimulate their interest in God, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Children's ministry has solicited some outstanding volunteers to work with your children and we would like to encourage you to consider supporting the ministry as well. Throughout the year, our team will focus on a different theme; that will allow not only classroom interaction, but the ministry will be extended beyond the walls of St. John. Planned activities will include, but not limited to nature walks, arts and crafts, family church, birthday celebrations and many more projects.
The goal of our Youth Ministry team is to teach our youth about the awesome power of God's love and redemption. It is to also inspire them in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to share the Gospel to the people in their lives, whether they are across the street or across the country.
We want to be a Ministry team that is connected to our youth, the community and the world in which we live. We will continue to seek to share Christ's love through faith, worship, fellowship, and witness through the following programs:
- Monthly Bible Study meetings
- Sunday Nite Vibe - the youth's monthly praise and worship service
- Rap Sessions
- Spring Retreat for spiritual rejuvenation
- Teen outings
But moreover, we are committed to showing Christ's love through "Leadership and Service". Our youth have a purpose. Our youth have gifts. Our youth have talents. We are looking forward to developing Christian leaders and creating opportunities to serve humanity and transform lives in the same manner as Christ did.
We have planned an exciting time for this coming conference year. We are looking forward to making Christ real in the lives of our youth.. so they can make Him real for those in their lives.
