The men of St. John are excited about the movement of God in our lives. Daily, we are challenged by issues that cause us to have a closer walk with God. We are fathers, husbands, employers, employees, we are unemployed, underemployed, we are young, we are mid-life, we are even senior adult; we are Christian men who deal with our identities in response to expected defined roles, whether from society of from the Christian perspective. We are men of integrity and men who genuinely care. We are men who are proud to embrace as our model, Jesus, the Christ.

The men of St. John will work as teams dedicated to spiritual growth, service, outreach and fellowship to enrich our relationships with God, our families, our community and each other. Our goal is to achieve a Christ led and fulfilled life. We invite you to come and share in our studies, as well as bonding and fellowship activities.

Mens Ministry meet every 3rd Sunday at 8:30 am

This year the women will be reading and studying Vashti McKenzie's book, Not Without a Struggle: Leadership Development for African American Women in Ministry. Bishop McKenzie's book begins with an exploration of historical perspectives on women in leadership and moves on to define the "Ten Commandments for African American Women in the Ministry". All women in the Body of Christ are "Women in Ministry" and the church has always been the recipient of women's leadership. We will be having interesting and challenging discussions about the many points this book raises for us. We come together as women with a great deal to offer, both now and in the future. Let's continue to grow together.

In addition to the studies, we, the women of St. John, will also be planning events for fellowship; bonding and ministry. In years past, we have provided events for our young women and we have held an annual retreat. This year will be no exception. Please join us in this challenging, and often times, life changing experience, as we embrace each others struggles and as we become even more empowered by the Holy Spirit.
