• Acolytes - Young people between the ages of six and twelve who assist the Pastor during worship service by maintaining and lighting the service candles.
  • African American History Month Steering Committee - They plan and design programming for the month of February and the rest of the year, to raise the consciousness of our parishioners pertaining to the African American experience
  • Birthday Clubs - Each birthday team is lead by a Captain and comprised of congregants who are grouped according to their birthday month. These teams provide monthly activities which promote spiritual bonding and opportunities for fellowship.
  • Hospitality - A group of individuals who function as greeters, provide receptions, repasts for the congregation and welcoming venues for visiting clergy, speakers, etc.
  • Newsletter - Provides a venue to disseminate information and announcements to the St. John community through the print media.
  • Scholarship - Supports the educational needs and fosters church connectiveness of the youth of St. John as they make the transition from high school to college. The intent is to identify a wide variety of opportunities that will encourage the involvement of St. John congregation in the support of our youth.
