- The Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry is in need of our support during the Holiday Season. For the next three Sundays, we will need to be intentional in bringing non-perishable and food items to assist in whatever way we can. Remember, we are blessed to be a blessing. Let's do our part.

- Children's Ministry Opportunity: The Children's Ministry will be presenting a Christmas Program on December 20, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. If you have a child between the ages of 3 through 11 (5th grade), please contact Rev. - Attention Parents and Students! We have an exciting event for our youth to be held on Saturday, December 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Northern Illinois University will host a Project Prime Event at the Holmes Student Center on campus. This event will allow our youth to participate in a financial aid presentation, a rap session on the hip-hop culture, interactive case studies, and bowling at the Huskies Den. All expenses are paid (food, snacks, etc.). It is suggested that attendees utilize St. John transportation due to the lack of parking. If you plan to travel via bus, everyone must meet at the Administrative Office by 6:30 a.m. Our youth should return to the Administrative Office by 11:45 p.m. The St. John Scholarship Committee will be stationed in the front entrance area so that we can get our future scholars registered. - The Fox Valley Christian Ministerial Alliance invites you to support their Scholarship Banquet on Friday, December 4, 2009 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost of the ticket is $40.00 and the event will be held at the Fox Valley Country Club on Route 25 in North Aurora. If you are interested in attending, you may purchase your ticket from the office. Ms. Hawkinson has all the information.
- Sharing Connections Furniture Bank's warehouse has a critical need for the following items for low-income families: pots and pans, silverware, dishes, paper towels/toilet paper, all purpose cleaner, window cleaner, misc. cleaning supplies, soaps, toothbrushes/toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, misc. personal care items, and diapers. Consider putting items in a bucket with a Christmas bow to help a family keep their home and themselves with dignity this holiday season.
